Registered Traveler
RAM is a proud member of the Fast Lane Option (FLO) Alliance supporting the Transportation Security Administration’s (TSA) Registered Traveler (RT) program. RAM provides staffing and program management services for the FLO Alliance.

RT was designed by the TSA to support improved security at our nation’s airports while providing a more expeditious processing of passengers through the screening checkpoints.

The RT program has two important goals:

1. Reduce long waits in airport security lines caused by heightened security screening measures implemented after the September 11 terrorist attacks.
2. Provide a better way to target security resources to those travelers posing a greater security risk.

Participants in the RT program present a card that allows them to use “fast lane” security checkpoints at participating airports. The centerpiece of the program is a secure ID card that uses biometrics to verify the user’s identity. Biometrics prevent the card from being used by unauthorized persons. Passengers can enroll in the RT program for a modest fee. TSA initially tested the RT program in 2005 and is now preparing for an additional rollout of the program in 10 to 20 airports.
