Duties and Responsibilities
RAM-Technology is currently seeking experienced Engineers to support various projects for the Transportation Security Administration. Must have experience in one or more of the following disciplines:
- System Design
- Mechanical Engineering Return/Rework Materials
- Testing (DT&E, OT&E, PAT&E)
- Human Factors (Ph.D., Experimental Psychology)
Candidates will perform system engineering activities including system analysis, requirements definition/allocation, and system verification. Will apply scientific and engineering principles to identify potential security vulnerabilities and minimize or contain risks associated with those vulnerabilities. Will use scientific disciplines and engineering methods to specify, predict and evaluate security threats. Must be able to perform technical analysis and quickly resolve program critical-path issues. Will interface with other program elements to ensure security functions are effectively integrated into the total system engineering effort. Positions require interface with other product teams, management and customer representatives. Some travel may be required. |
Additional Requirements
These positions require past Engineering experience, preferably in a Government-related setting. Must be able to consistently recognize a wide range of complex, specialized issues, problems, or opportunities in own work group, across the organization and with external customers; determining whether actions are needed. Regularly integrate complex information from a wide variety of sources; detect complex trends, associations, and cause-effect relationships. Consistently create relevant options for addressing problems/opportunities and achieving desired outcomes. Formulate clear decision criteria; evaluate options by considering implications and consequences; choose an effective option. |
Education Requirements
BS in Engineering, MS/PhD. preferred. |
Work Experience
- 5 years of relevant past experience.
- Proven experience in client relations and ability to coordinate work with the upper levels of Federal Government management staff.
- Familiarity with airport security screening equipment.
- General knowledge of the government contracting/procurement process.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- US citizenship required; must be able to pass a Government background check and obtain a Secret clearance.
